I caught a stick and popped off the rubber line on the right side of the engine that goes to the hydrolic filter and dumped all the fluid. WHen i fixed it and refilled I did not get any hydrolic funtion back at first, but then got drive back after a second try (It is a GST) I never got bucket or 3-pont controll back. could I have air in the system or something? Or am I in for new hydrolic pumps?

Help...

Chris

If you stopped the tractor right as it happened and didn't run it while dry, you should not have done any damage...

Is there anything hydo working? ....

The hydro for the HST seems to be working, but it did stop for a minute and then came back after fluid added.

When it happend I stopped immediately (lost drive) I don't think I ran it dry or of I did it was not for very long - once I realized what was happening.

OK, What is "cycleing" the loader - Can the system be bled?

Currently no movement at all, but I have not bled the system either.

cycling would be moving the loader lever around... up and down...

This would bleed the air out by pulling fluid back in the lines.

So you can drive it but no loader / 3pt hitch??

The tractor doesnt make any diffent noise now, than it did before the leek? ....

sounds like you have air and are still low on fluid. Turn the steering wheel to each side back and forth all the way and check the fluid and keep adding it. this should get all the air out. DO NOT drive it much until you get the loader working and the air out. Probably have a big air pocket in there that will work out buy turning the wheel side to side and adding fluid. be sure to use the right stuff too not cheap hydro fluid. ....

Wow thanks guys. I'll try the steering to get the air out.

And no new noises, but you are correct that i can drive it but not loader / 3pt activity.

Thanks so much for all the help - I'll post how it does after the steering thing.
